First, the primary practitioners of worksite intelligence are General Contractors.
“Worksite intelligence” on one construction site refers to:
"Worksite intelligence” across multiple sites in a portfolio refers to:
Most people end up thinking that worksite intelligence must work best for large construction sites. However, worksite intelligence is simply a bunch of rather simple solutions working together, so any one solution can work for any sized site.
Generally, we think of worksite intelligence as two sets of solutions: workforce management and worksite monitoring. Any General Contractor, whether they are managing sites with 25 workers a day or 1,000 workers a day can benefit from one of these solutions:

Register all companies on site and maintain a contractor database.
Register all workers on site and build a workforce database.
Send instant text messages to all workers for site updates, safety announcements, weather events and more.
Collect worker time and attendance from badges, beacons, and smartphones. These solutions can work together, or on their own. Options include:
Bluetooth readers and/or NFC-controlled doors allow for various zones to be set up on construction sites.
Instantly communicate the need to muster and then track workers in designated muster zones.
In your workforce database, you’ll have all the data collected from worker registration, zones, time tracking, etc. You can create, save, and subscribe recurring reports, here are some of the most common:
Secure your site and specific areas with turnstiles, doors, gate arms, and staffed checkpoints.
Equip security, safety, and admin personnel with handheld scanners to verify credentials and track time.
Install cameras on your site perimeter, secure doors, or watching over valuable areas:
Monitor your site environment for risks from water, temperature, humidity, severe weather, fire, smoke, CO2, etc. Receive alerts, communicate threats, and track resolutions.
Resolve issues proactively by receiving automated alerts. From unauthorized workers, to leak detection, to suspicious activity by a camera – receive alerts and track resolutions.

This one is anonymous, but a large GC is doing a renovation of a building in an industrial park in New Jersey. They have roughly 25 workers on site each day and needed a simple way for workers to check in and out of the site.

The Walsh team uses Eyrus BLE passive workforce time tracking on multiple projects to automatically track hours for prevailing wage reporting. On the El Centro Affordable Housing project in Columbia City Neighborhood of Seattle, they faced an additional challenge:

“What I like most about Eyrus is the system is the ease of navigating the interface and the how quick it is to learn. It has been a great help keeping accurate information for worker attendance eliminating the issues with individuals forgetting to sign in or out each day.”
“Eyrus makes our job easier as our project set up has two different wage rate areas requiring two separate attendance records. The additional control box within the larger project area has allowed for an accurate record keeping between both areas and has increase efficiency when gathering reports at the end of each month.”
-- Jesus Montiel | Project Engineer

Beck was looking for a way to automatically understand who was working on their project and collect labor hours by trade/sub-contractor. They wanted a solution that didn’t add any administrative burden to their project team but would work in the background to collect data. They wanted to use workforce data for the following purposes:

“It was an immediate improvement in accuracy to know real time of those on site and hours worked. It is amazing to be able to obtain this information in half the time.”
Jerry Salgado, Regional Safety Director
"The tools available from Eyrus can be incorporated in your safety protocols and much more. The ability to know how many workers are on site, as well as to be able to send notifications to the entire site with a few simple clicks, is very useful. Eyrus' capability to send evacuation notifications and to conduct a headcount is exceptional.”

On a remote industrial build in West Texas, ZAP Engineering and Construction employs Eyrus to keep a record of their workforce and automate time tracking.
With 250+ workers on site daily, ZAP was looking for a solution that would:

“Compared to the process of non-automated tracking, Eyrus is much more effective with less chance of error. It is much easier for the person operating the badge gun, with less to remember, and much faster. I would have to recommend this system compared to a paper log and feel it’s a must have for a larger operation with over 100 plus personnel.
Additionally, this expeditious process gets worker through the gate much faster - which is appreciated by all personnel.”

The teams at the Allegheny County Airport Authority and Turner Construction needed to implement a solution to efficiently move 800+ (1,100 many days) workers daily through a single entrance and exit while accurately accounting for their coming and going. They were also mandated to have security guards on site, which meant solutions like automated barriers and turnstiles would come at extraneous cost. In addition, the construction team needed to deliver several wide-reaching reports on a regular basis:

“Eyrus helped us plan and implement a best-in-class access control and workforce management solution that met all our requirements and saved us a lot of money over the course of our project. I’m impressed with the Eyrus team’s responsiveness, and we are excitedly exploring other Eyrus solutions that will benefit our project.”
Jason Timmerman VP of Workplace Safety Allegheny County Airport Authority
“I leverage Eyrus to provide the airport construction project with security, access control, and emergency locating of people. We also use Eyrus to automate the tracking of headcounts and workhours for several reasons – prevailing wage reports, progress reports, and our Park Smart certification. What I like most is simple – Eyrus provides real time tracking and reporting of data we need and our owner needs.”
Michael Conti, Project Safety Manager, Turner
